The World of Concrete took place in Las Vegas on January 18-21. The annual concrete and masonry expo featured a solid group of manufacturers and suppliers with indoor and outdoor exhibits.

Outside Exhibits-The weather was warmer than in past years which helped draw attendance to the outdoor exhibits. Wacker Neuson had two large display tents where customers could try out new equipment or attendees could sit and watch as contractors competed for prizes on riding trowels. Husqvarna’s outside booth was very impressive; you can see they are investing a lot in R & D by the large quantity of new products it was showcasing.

Inside Exhibits-The South Hall saw the most traffic with mfg’s including W.R. Meadows, Marshalltown, Kraft, Euclid Chemical and BASF. The Central and North Halls featured a variety of products from formwork companies to rebar suppliers.
The new attraction was a larger concrete color area outside which featured a Concrete Surfaces & Decorative Pavilion, an area to demo decorative tools and also an area to demo concrete polishing products, a trend that seems to be growing in the market.
