Charleston, SC Branch to Host Open House May 6th

CMC Construction Services will be hosting an Open House at its new North Charleston location May 6, 2010. The Open House will be held from 10:30am-1:30pm at the new facility located at 3430 Ashley Phosphate Rd.

CMC Construction Services' top vendors, including Bosch Power Tools, W.R. Meadows and Husqvarna, will be onsite to offer technical expertise, demonstrations, and showcase the latest in construction products and supplies. The event will also include a free barbeque lunch, tours of the new facility, and prizes.

The new 12,700 square foot facility opened on February 4th, 2010 and features a brand new showroom containing the complete package of construction accessories and hardware supplies for any type of job.

We encourage everyone to come out and partake in this exciting event.

CMC Construction Services Charleston Branch to Relocate

Charleston, SC– CMC Construction Services, a construction supply and equipment leader, announced the relocation of its North Charleston, South Carolina branch to a nearby facility at 3430 Ashley Phosphate Road, North Charleston, SC 29418.

The new 12,700 square foot facility is home to a spacious showroom and warehouse featuring tools, construction accessories, and hardware supplies.

Area Manager Kyle Weeks said, “The new easily accessible facility represents our commitment to better serving our customers and will help us achieve our goal of becoming the premier construction supply house in South Carolina.”

The move was completed February 4, 2010 with a grand re-opening of the branch planned for early May. We encourage everyone to come out and partake in this exciting event.

HOUSTON, TEXAS (Feb. 4, 2010) CMC Construction Services (CMC), a long time member and participant in the Tilt-Up Construction Association (TCA), was the recipient of five Tilt-Up Achievement Awards announced at the 2010 World of Concrete convention. The awards were in several different categories, including Office, Education, Warehouse and Manufacturing/Industrial Tilt-Up Construction. Projects were reviewed by a panel of 15 judges representing all aspects of the TCA membership association (education, management and publishing). The buildings were judged on aesthetic expression, schedule, size, originality, finishes and special conditions, as well as the buildings ability to attract and hold the interest of architects and building owners. CMC Construction Services tilt-up engineering services are available through our offices in Houston, Texas. Our team of licensed P.E.’s and detailers provide lifting & bracing design and embed plate location drawings using the latest Autocad software. Engineering services using BIM 3-D modeling is also available.

Lift & Brace Design:

Our engineering staff provides lift & brace design to fit the requirements of each project. Our team clearly communicates with the project stakeholders: contractors, engineers, architects and owners to determine the optimum tilt-up design solutions resulting in accurate drawings that meet each client’s schedule.

Embeds:

Embed layout details based on the architectural and structural drawings provided by the contractor are created safely and efficiently. An embed layout book is created for each client that includes a detail sheet for each panel, “Paperdoll’ sheet to layout panels on floor plan, embed list including sizes and quantities.

Gyro Tilt Plus- Non Directional System

The Dayton Superior T-49 Gyro Tilt Plus Face Lift Insert is a 3/4” diameter insert manufactured from high quality steel.
The hot forged head is engaged by the system hardware.
The insert assembly is complete with plastic void and plastic protected wire base.
The insert assembly is easily positioned and tied to the rebar mat and requires no special orientation.
